Andy Galloway

Business Manager at New Citizenship Project

Our work at New Citizenship Project is about helping organisations to unlock the energy, passion, creativity and resource that lies within communities, in order to solve the world's biggest challenges. We are a consultancy, so we work with lots of different organisations on different kinds of projects, for example:

  • Bringing together NHS staff and patients to design better services.

  • Supporting environmental charities to achieve their aims with, not for, the public.

  • Redesigning membership programmes with an autism charity to create more member-led opportunities.

  • Working with mission-led businesses to create ways for customers to help achieve a shared mission, not just by buying products but by getting involved in other ways too.

I've been at New Citizenship Project since 2019. I joined in a more administrative/supporting role, and through working on a range of projects and getting more experience, now lead projects alongside my colleagues. My role involves project and programme management, building client relationships, strategy and planning, business development, workshop design and delivery and proposal and report writing.

You might like to attend a session with me if:

  • you're working on a project or business that could benefit from 'people power' or community.

  • you're considering a career in some kind of consultancy, working with charities or mission-led businesses (I have a number of contacts at these kinds of organisations).

  • you're not really sure what your next step is and just want to have a general conversation about opportunities that might be out there.

Fun fact: Hello! I'm Andy, I'm 27 and I'm from up north in Cheshire, and have lived in Hackney for 2 years now. I studied Sport & Exercise Science at Bath University but now work in a totally different field. Outside of work my main interests are basketball (currently playing for a team in London), photography and travel, and I'm also on the board for an organisation called Empathy Week - an education programme founded by my friend and teammate.
