Local & Social Enterprise Suppliers
As we get ready to welcome you into Better Space we wanted to highlight some of the local social enterprises and purpose led businesses that inspire us and whom we’ve already worked with as suppliers.
Whatever business you work for, it’s the every day decisions we make to shop locally and source goods and services from purpose led businesses that can contribute to making a big positive societal impact and change over time.
At Better Space
Our members will be able to enjoy Tea by Nemi, an organisation providing employment to refugees through local work experience and job readiness skills; helping them integrate into broader society. Their tea is organic and fair trade and the bags are 100% biodegradable too! Check them out here.
With thanks to our neighbours LinkedIn, we’re also reusing some furniture that needed a new home; thanks for the kitchen tables and box seats LinkedIn!
Do-goody-bags
We put together some thank you gift bags for attendees at a recent event, all sourced from local and sustainable social enterprises.

This very cool enterprise offers a delicious range of drinks made using fair trade ingredients, that with every purchase, contributes a 5% donation to the Lemondaid and Charitea Foundation. So far they’ve raised more than $4 million, which goes back into supporting and sustaining the local communities from which the ingredients are grown.
Toast Ale is on a mission to cut climate change through reducing food waste, cutting down on water and land usages and fixing the food production system through it’s projects. This brewer is a Certified B Corporation and uses surplus bread that would otherwise go to waste, and avoids using virgin barley to brew it’s range of ales. Cheers to that!

They offer courses, work experience and paid employment within their bakery, empowering women to build their careers, whilst also making delicious cakes and bakes!
